HLTAID011 Provide First Aid in Mount Gambier

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the most recent release of the accredited Provide First Aid course. It supersedes HLTAID003 and is the course your employer is likely referring to when they ask if you are certified in first aid.

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is Australia’s most common first aid course, and the certificate is recognised nationwide.

The course teaches both the practical application of first aid skills and the theory behind them on over two dozen of the most common first aid conditions and illnesses.

You will learn how to identify signs and symptoms and provide first aid assistance in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and other relevant Australian national peak clinical bodies like Safe Work Australia, the National Asthma Council, the Epilepsy Foundation and Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA).

The course material includes using a defibrillator (AED) and asthma training.

Flexible Delivery Options

Everyone is different. That’s why FirstAidPro Mount Gambier offers two delivery options for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. Choose from face-to-face or our online option. We want everyone to have the ability to learn first-aid, no matter how busy their lives are!

Face-to-Face (5.5 hours)

Knowledge + Practical Assessment in-class – no online or out-of-class assessments

Our Face-to-Face training is a single 5.5-hour session where you receive the support of a qualified and fully accredited trainer for the entirety of the course.

When you opt for our face-to-face option, you receive the benefits of traditional training. You can ask questions and interact with your trainer during the practical end of the course and the knowledge side.

This course option is perfect for those who don’t want the hassle of online quizzes and prefer to receive their course in a single sitting.

Why do I Need First Aid?

You can never be sure when an emergency may occur, but if you know first aid, you can at least rest assured you are as prepared as you can be to lend a hand and save a life.

How do I get Qualified for First Aid?

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a healthy mix of theory and practical skills.

  • If you complete the Face-to-Face course, the assessment on the knowledge requirements is in-class.
  • If you complete the Learning Online course, you will be assessed on the knowledge requirements online.
  • The practical assessment is completed in-class for both courses as a registered trainer must observe you performing your first aid skills.
