What You’ll Learn: Medication Administration Skills & Knowledge

Through your medication administration course you’ll acquire vital knowledge from the self paced online learning. During the practical medication administration training you’ll learn crucial real-world skills to safely administer medication followed by a competency assessment to complete your course.

Course Delivery

The medication administration course is delivered through a blend of theory and practice conducted across self-paced online learning followed by three hours of in-person practical training. Depending on how quickly you complete the online learning, you can essentially complete your course in a single day. Ultimately how long it takes will be up to you.

The in-person portion of your medication administration training will take place at our Mount Gambier training venue located at Comfort Inn The Lakes/Lakes Resort, 17 Lake Terrace West.

Entry Requirements

There are no prior academic requirements necessary to attend a medication administration course. At the minimum, attendees must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills, and the physical capability to interact with clients and provide them with medication, operate medication equipment and to store said equipment correctly after use.

Attendees will also require a device with an internet connection to complete the at-home eLearning and theoretical portions of their training
